Rabbit Warren Mead is a project of the household known as The Rabbit Warren. We brew for, and with the help of, our community. We are not a commercial brewery. We have a dedicated space in our home. We are magically trained and brewing is part of our spiritual practice.
We began brewing in 1999 and discovered that we really enjoyed it. We are particularly fond of mead that includes spices (metheglin) and sometimes fruits (melomel). We have made over two dozen flavors, twelve of which are still in stock.
Not being a commercial brewery, we are subject to laws which limits selling it and production to under 200 gallons a year. On the other hand, we don't have to pasteurize it, which means we don't have to kill the flavor as commercial brewers are required to do. We do, however, set aside a limited amount of our mead to trade for donations to our honey fund.
If you would like more information about our mead, including trade rates, just let us know. You can contact us at: mead@therabbitwarren.org.
