Feeding the Rabbits

Our loving friends and family have asked us to post a list of foods limitations to as to better be able to feed us and, since we love to eat, we are doing so.

Feeding Dawn:

I have a severe allergy to peppers (bell and chili) and will end up with a very upset digestive system if I consume such. I dislike (will not eat) bananas, cranberries or raisins. And weird as it is, the only canned/frozen vegetable that I eat is corn. The others seem pretty tasteless to me. I love cheese and other dairy, but have to go easy on it sometimes because of my asthma. I adore pasta, seafood (especially shrimp and crab), dark breads, bacon. If you serve me meat, make sure it is pretty well done and lean. I can handle some spicy food, such as curries, as long as it isn't hot. My absolute favorites are chocolate and raspberries (almost any berry is good). If it's cake, I prefer chocolate. Of course, I prefer almost anything chocolate.

Feeding Lon:

Special note: I am diabetic. For the most part, I can control this with diet and medication. What that means, largely, is avoiding/reducing intake of hyper-sugary things like sodas and commercial candies. While I might enjoy your old family recipie for honey-goo covered berries, I would need to pass on it, or limit myself to just one (yeah, right...). For the most part, keep me informed and I'll take care of myself.

Otherwise, I'm pretty easy. No Surprises there. I like most foods, and most styles of cooking. I have no known allergies, though childhood experience has put me off macaroni-and-cheese (especially the boxed kind) and/or tuna. Most vegetables, except for Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and most anything that is or gets mushy when cooked. My preferences include spicy foods (if it doesn't etch your teeth, it's not hot enough), and things with a bold flavor.

Oh, by the way, I like wines red and dry, and beers dark. I describe many beers I like as "good chewing beers." I've been off most hard liquor since Troy arranged my bachelor party. Jose is not my friend.

Feeding Troy:

What I don't like:

Troy won't eat mushrooms. Though not allergic and can pick them out if needed (and large enough). Foods I really have an aversion to are squash and Brussels sprouts. I can't even stand the smell of them. Its a childhood thing, you just had to be there. Other things I don't really like, but don't really have an allergic reaction to are cucumbers, zucchini, peas (though I do like split pea soup - go figure!), cooked spinach (raw is fine - great in a salad in fact), and other things I'm sure I'll remember later. Cooked foods, but not too much, so I'm not really into sushi. I guess I can be kinda finicky.

What I do like:

I do like spicy foods, garlic is a vegetable as far as I'm concerned. There is no such thing as too much curry. Seafood is good, pasta is good, meat is good too. I'm not overly devoted to meat though, and like marinara without meat just as well. Pesto is great. Breads, potatoes, rice and other starchy foods are good too. I love pears and oranges. And Brie is a sure way to my heart....
