As the Sun Rises

What a great day...

August 9, 1996

Today I got a letter from the American Anthropological Association. I submitted an abstract of my thesis to them in hopes of presenting at the national conference. My paper is accepted. I will be presenting Sat. afternoon of the conference in San Francisco in November. This will be a great opportunity for me, will also help me get funding to attend the conference and look great on my vita (resume).

I also worked out some of the contract problems I have been having on the book. They publisher wanted to cut the book in half because their printer cannot bind a book that large (over 750 pages). Instead, we have worked out a compromise of printing it as a two volume set. That way nothing gets cut and it remains one work, but with two bindings. My plan is to have the finished book to them within the month.

Meanwhile, we are having guests this weekend. Stewart & Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone from Ireland will be staying with us and doing an day workshop and evening ritual on Saturday for IPAN. It should be a wonderful weekend.

Talk to you soon,
Dawn
