Dearest Friends and Family,

I am suppose to leave town for a week in less than two hours, so I can't really go into the details right now. Things have been very bad here. Tina moved out of town without warning and tried to take Rowan with her. We were able to prevent her from taking him for several weeks. Last Sunday we were at a restaurant with friends when she, her brother and a friend tried to take him by force. I was assaulted in the process. Mostly sprains and bad bruises. I am healing. We were able to stop her then because of the courage of our friends. Yesterday, a cowardly judge refused to decide temporary custody and put it off (again) until July 16. Meanwhile, he ordered that we have to turn him over to her tomorrow for a week. He has to spend a week with her and a week with us until the custody is decided. He is so afraid of her now that this will be very hard on him. I have been crying a lot. Meanwhile, Lon and I are suppose to go to our summer spiritual retreat this week. We will be turning Rowan over to Tina and then leaving town until next Saturday. I will try to write more when I get back.
