Dearest Friends,

Well, I am preparing for my trip to San Francisco and Santa Cruz this week. I leave this Thursday afternoon. I will be in San Francisco at the American Anthropology Conference from Thurs. eve to Sunday afternoon. (My presentation is Sat. afternoon.) I will then be going to Santa Cruz on Sunday. My plans are to spend the week in Santa Cruz and then return to San Francisco for Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Then return to Iowa on Sunday, Dec. 1.

If you are in the area and haven't made arrangements to see me and would like to -- let me know now. I don't want to leave you out, but things are going to be very busy.

This also means that I won't be responding to email Nov. 21st through Dec. 1.
